Brief Description
Given a text from Subject matter experts, I extracted insights to understand the requirements of the database. I created the E-R schema, restructured it, and then created the corresponding relational model. I made the SQL instructions to create tables and relationships between them.
I used PostgreSQL as a database and linked it to my web application using XAMPP. The web application I created is entirely automatic and independent of the data and tables it receives from the database. It can visualize, insert, update, and delete any tuple. It also recognizes primary keys and foreign keys. Finally, I implemented a user authentication system.
Skills used:
- Database design:
- Conceptual Design
- Logical Design
- Physical Design
- Normalization to BCNF
- SQL – DDL/DML instructions
- Web application development:

Outcomes:
- Designed a database to centrally manage the data of multiple hospitals.
- Developed a web application that allows to manage the database using a browser.
- Gained valuable experience in database design and important transferable skills.
Conclusion:
I am proud of the work I have done on this project. I demonstrated my ability to design databases and implement complex software systems using various technologies. I am also confident that the skills I have gained from this project will be valuable in my future career.
