For the second year in a row, I had the pleasure of being a member of the staff organizing Career Day that was located in the main building of my high school. It was a rewarding experience that gave me the opportunity to help students learn about different career paths and connect with potential employers.
I was a member of the staff in 2015 and then in 2016 too.
Preparing for Career Day
The preparation for Career Day began several weeks in advance. We tried our best to make the event a success.
One of my main responsibilities was to coordinate with the companies that were participating in Career Day. I helped them to set up their booths and to prepare for their presentations. I also answered any questions they had about the event.
On the day of Career Day, I was responsible for welcoming the companies’ representatives and helping to get the event started. I also circulated throughout the event to make sure that everything was running smoothly.
A positive experience
Overall, Career Day was a positive experience for everyone involved. The students were able to learn about different career paths and to network with potential employers. The companies were able to recruit new talent and to raise awareness of their brands.
I was particularly pleased with the feedback I received from the students. Many of them told me that they found Career Day to be informative and helpful. They also appreciated the opportunity to speak with professionals from different industries.
Helping others
One of the most rewarding aspects of organizing Career Day was helping others and connect with businesses. I was able to use my skills and experience to help students and companies have a positive experience. I also enjoyed working with the other members of the organizing committee. We were all committed to making Career Day a success, and I am proud of what we accomplished.
